I took about 300 pics during this visit so I will split this update into two features. Our first set of photos were taken from the Cape Blanco Park roadway. The first and second pics are west and east views of the Sixes River Valley, next is a zoomed pic of the old farmhouse seen in the first image. The next row starts with two shots of the Sixes River outlet. The last photo is a zoomed view of Patrick's Rock, seen in the second row, bottom left image. We drove down to the Historic Hughes House and took this next set of pics. The Hughes family used to own a dairy farm on what is now Cape Blanco State Park. You can learn more about the Hughes House by visiting the Friends of Cape Blanco website... HughesHouse.org. Our next stop is at the entrance to the Cape Blanco headland and lighthouse. I pieced together the image below to form this panoramic view of the headland, this thumbnail when opened will be around 2.5 times the width of most computer display settings so you'll have to scroll side to side (pic size is 2070x600). Below are more views of the Cape Blanco lighthouse and headland. You can learn more about the lighthouse by visiting the Friends of Cape Blanco's CapeBlanco.org website. Below are views looking north towards the Sixes River outlet as seen from the headland entrance. Don't forget to visit our recent Oregon Pics features highlighted below.
