left is a picture of my son Jacob, he is serving with the 1st Infantry Division
(Big Red 1). This photo was taken at Fort Danger near Tikrit, Iraq.
In the background you can see the Euphrates River and one of Saddam's palaces.

September 7, 2007 ~ Back on the beaches
of Port Orford:
A couple of years ago I sold my Elk River home and moved away from the Oregon
Coast so we could be closer to family. Fortunately I still own a hill that
sits above Port Orford, this latest Oregon Pics feature highlights some of the
photos from our recent visit.
August 19, 2004 ~ Bandon's Face Rock Beach:
A few weeks back Jerry and I took a trip to Coos Bay, on our way home we stopped
at Face Rock Beach in Bandon and took some late afternoon pictures of this
beautiful beach.
August 10, 2004 ~ Pelicans in Orford
Cove. We normally don't see a whole lot of Pelican here in Port
Orford but a few weeks back there were several dozen of the big majestic birds
here.

Seabirds Feeding in Port Orford Cove.
I came across an unusual scene during a recent visit to Port Orford's Battle
Rock Beach. The Port Orford Cove was filled with hundreds of various
seabirds feeding on a large school of fish that had congregated close to the
shoreline.

Part 2: I started at Face
Rock State Park and headed north along Beach Loop Drive and stopped several
times to take fantastic pictures and movies of the Coquille River Lighthouse and

04, 2003, Low tide walk on Battle Rock Beach, Part 1,
Part 2:
Jerry and I took a late afternoon walk on Battle Rock Beach. We timed our
visit to coincide with a 4:30pm negative low tide, during our walk we shoot some
fantastic beach level pictures and movies.

26, Big Surf at Hubbards Creek Beach: We take a walk on Hubbards Creek
Beach, soak in some sun, read a good book, and take pics some super big surf
pics.
